Columbia, Mo.. – The outpouring of support in the Columbia area for the victims of the recent tornado in Joplin continues to be strong. One of the many opportunities that mid-Missourians will have to contribute will take place this Saturday, as D’Rowe’s Restaurant and Mizzou Football will partner to collect items that will go Joplin.
Mid-Missouri residents are encouraged to come out to D’Rowe’s (1005 Club Village Drive) this Saturday, May 28th from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. and help former Tiger player David Rowe, along with Mizzou coaches and players pack the Mizzou Football semi full of the following needed:

Columbia, Mo. – The NCAA released its annual Academic Progress Rates for member schools, and once again, the University of Missouri stands out among the very best in the Big 12 Conference.
The sports of football and softball have brought tremendous pride to Tiger fans for the championships they won on the field this year, and they can also call themselves champions off the field. That’s because both sports led the Big 12 in APR, with football checking in at 967 (Multiyear APR). The highest APR score possible is 1,000.
“We are very proud of the academic accomplishments of our student-athletes,” said Dr. Joe Scogin, Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Services. “This is one example of their commitment to academic excellence as they continue to exemplify the core values of our athletic department. Our student-athletes, coaches, academic support staff, and institutional faculty should take pride in the way they represent our institution,” Scogin said.
