Mizzou Highlighted as One of the Best On & Off the Field

The NCAA released college football graduation rates for this week's Bowl Championship Series football rankings. According to each program's graduation rate, the University of Missouri Football Team is in the top 5 nationally. The average four-year graduation rates are for players entering school from 2000-03.

In addition, Mizzou Football leads the Big 12 Conference with a 71 percent graduation success rate.

As Gary Pinkel has been the Missouri Head Football Coach the numbers have only grown. In the past three years, 38 of 39 Missouri Football Players have either graduated early or on time. Last year, NFL players Danario Alexander and Sean Weatherspoon graduated in December 2009 – a semester early.

Mizzou Football current seniors Jeff Gettys, Munir Prince, Kevin Rutland, and Forrest Shock have already graduated and are enrolled in graduate school.  The other eight seniors are on track to graduate on time.
